Fast Catalytic Pyrolysis
Integrated Atomic Hydrogen Process - IAHP
INTEGRATED PROCESS PATENTED BY REEC:
PYROLYSIS AND CATALYSIS IN A SINGLE EQUIPMENT.
Rapid pyrolysis breaks down the hydrocarbon molecules producing economically valuable, mostly aliphatic, cyclic HC, olefin and HC fractions. Additionally, it generates nascent hydrogen which is more reactive than molecular hydrogen.
Asphaltenes infers high viscosity to heavy crude due to the presence of heteroatoms (HA), catalysis reacts and are drastically reduced to solid compounds, this decreases the viscosity of heavy crude oil and improves the quality of treated crude.
The synthetic crude obtained (solvent or diluent) when added to the heavy crude, improves the API of the same reducing its viscosity of stable way, eliminating its dependence to the temperature for its processing, transport and storage.
Catalysis unites hydrogen with the open (unstable) molecules of the hydrocarbon, stabilizing them.
