Enhanced Oil Production

HEAVY OIL IS GENERALLY LEFT AS AN ENERGY RESOURCE DUE TO THE DIFFICULTIES AND HIGH COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THEIR PRODUCTION.

Washing and Heating Heavy Crude Oil an expensive proposition. Up to 2000 feet long pipes inside the oil Heat Exchangers, at pressure, presents a challenge to transfer the heat and to prevent costly build ups.

With our process there is a direct contact of the oil with heated flue gases in a reduced atmosphere presenting an almost infinite heat transfer area, which never plugs up.

Distillation at our process takes place in a water steam fully saturated atmosphere where Atomic Hydrogen is being produced from the same water in an integrated process to reacted it with the HC molecules.

High Sulphur crude oils have responded to our process with up to 90% reduction in a single pass. Atomic Hydrogen has the necessary reactivity to combine with the Sulphur due to its low reacting energy requirements.

High paraffinic oils can be successfully treated, by breaking long paraffinic streams and waxes. Saturating broken molecules are part of the second state of the Atomic Hydrogen reaction.

Ionizing the HC molecules are an integral and important function of the Atomic Hydrogen reaction. This characteristic alone could be the most important one in lubricants and many other applications

Our process allows low hydrogen streams to reconstitute with the Atomic Hydrogen, without further modifying the HC molecule.

iAHP OUR SOLUTION:
Technology under development, with successful tests and results at the pilot plant level.
We produce a synthetic crude (solvent) of the same nature as the heavy hydrocarbon of origin.
The solvent is used to reduce the viscosity of the total crude oil stream, the viscosity value remains over time and there is no phase separation (as in the case of naphtha and / or marine diesel).
It is sought that the ratio of heavy hydrocarbon to solvent is the lowest by cost control.
The waste generated by the PC plant has properties to be used in construction of roads with the addition of a polymer (process patented by REEC).

TECHNOLOGICAL TESTS

REEC's technology successfully evaluated with a laboratory-level pilot plant, built and operated at its facilities.
MP used: Crude Heavy Ayatsil API <10.
Product obtained: Synthetic crude API 25-30
